What Brits Want When It Comes To Book A Holiday?

A survey of over 1,000 people has revealed holidays are enjoyed more than those shared with children. The study also shows more travel insights about Brits when they are booking their holiday.

The survey by trusted travel price comparison website, dealchecker, has revealed that when booking a holiday, Brits seek access to Wi-Fi, guaranteed sunshine and value for money.

While Brits prioritise authentic local food (56%), when asked what makes a perfect holiday, there remains a need to stay connected, with access to Wi-Fi a top requirement for almost half of respondents (46%), surpassing the importance of access to a swimming pool (42%) or a swim-friendly beach (38%).

Factors that influenced Brits to book their most recent holiday included visiting somewhere new (29%), guaranteed good weather (26%) and value for money (24%), compared to the safety of a destination, which only 1% said influenced their decision to book.

Almost two thirds (63%) said that they enjoy going on holiday with their partner, when asked who they enjoy going away with most. It was also revealed that going on a solo holiday (9%) or with friends (11%) was more enjoyable than going away with their children (7%).
