£1bn Jewel facility in Changi Airport to be launched in April

On April 17^th Jewel Changi Airport, a multi-dimensional tourist destination will be launched and it will house aviation, travel-related and lifestyle facilities for international visitors to Singapore.

There will be extensive retail offering and unique play attractions.

 

Located in a total area of 137,000 square metres and comprising ten storeys under a stunning glass and steel façade  Jewel will have direct connection to Changi Airport’s terminals.

There will be  a lush, four-storey Forest Valley having thousands of trees and plants that will make it the largest indoor collection of plants in Singapore.

Rain Vortex will be the world’s tallest indoor waterfall which will take centre stage in the complex.

There will be more than 280 retail stores in the surrounding along with Jewel’s own 130-room hotel , Yotelair Singapore Changi Airport.

There will be early check-in for passengers for their flights with baggage storage facilities; this will include their third hand-carry at Jewel.

The concept for Jewel’s design represents the juxtaposition of a park and marketplace and is designed by a team of consultants comprising Safdie Architects led by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie, as well as architects RSP and Benoy.
