In January, the Israel tourism industry experienced an 11 percent up in tourist entries, contributing $413 million in revenues to the economy of the Israelis.

As per Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), in January 2019, around 285,600 tourist entries were recorded, 11.3 percent more than the same time last year and an enormous 35 percent more than January 2017. As per the Ministry, there was a 25 percent growth in the first two months of 2017 comparison to January-February 2016. This comprised a 22 percent growth in tourist entries in February 2017 as compared to February 2016, and a 25 percent rise over February 2015.

In 2015, a total of 3.1 million tourists visited Israel, as per the figures published by the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics.
