In celebration of World Oceans Day, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has announced that they’ve partnered with Ocean Conservancy to protect and ensure the long-term health of the oceans.

The company joins many world leading corporations and organizations in Ocean Conservancy’s Trash Free Seas Alliance, which is working towards solutions that will mitigate plastic waste that ends up in the water. Founded in 2012, the Trash Free Seas Alliance brings together thought leaders to create a forum for real-world collaboration focused on the measurable reduction of ocean trash.

Norwegian’s new membership in the alliance is part of the company’s global environment program, ‘Sail & Sustain,’ which reflects their mission to provide great vacations while also minimizing their impact on the earth’s environment.
