American Airlines to launch larger planes for Memphis-Washington flights
More passengers for Memphis International Airport (MEM) would soon be capable of flying to and from Ronald Reagan Washington International Airport (DCA) since brand new larger aircrafts would be offered by American Airlines.
Commencing from 7th June, flights of American Airlines to DCA would utilize 76-seat Embraer 175 planes.
Previously the airline utilized 50-seat airplanes for a few of its DCA routes.
Currently, American offers three daily weekday flights to DCA and one frequency per day on Saturday. The larger aircraft would provide customers two-class service, onboard Wi-Fi and add 221 seats per week in capacity between Memphis and Washington, D.C.
American Airlines services eight cities out of Memphis and has flights to Chicago, Charlotte, Miami, Dallas, Philadelphia, New York City, Phoenix as well as Washington D.C.
An increasing number of passengers are opting for MEM and airlines have been meeting this demand with more flights and more seats, as per the chairman of the board of commissioners for the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority, Pace Cooper.
