IHG® (InterContinental Hotels Group) announces the opening of the newly-built 140-room and 12 suites Holiday Inn Express® & Suites León - Aeropuerto hotel. Conveniently located just five minutes from Bajio International Airport, both business and leisure travelers will appreciate the location of the newest Holiday Inn Express property in Mexico.

The hotel joins four other IHG properties open in city: Holiday Inn® León hotel, Crowne® Plaza León hotel, Holiday Inn León Convention Center hotel and Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites León Plaza Mayor hotel.

León's urban and industrial growth has brought modern architecture, hotels, shopping centers, industrial parks, restaurants and convention centers to the city. This new hotel, located at Carretera 45 Silao –León Km. 156, Col. Nuevo Mexico, Silao, Guanajuato, is near multiple industrial parks including Puerto Interior, Castro del Río and Fipasi, which are home to automotive companies such as General Motors, Ford and Volkswagen.

In addition to leather craftsmanship, the city continues to produce agricultural products and livestock for the rest of the country. Each November leisure travelers enjoy the International Hot Air Balloon Festival that takes place in León Metropolitan Park. More than 200 hot air balloons from countries including Spain, France, Italy, Russia, Turkey, India and Australia participate.

The hotel has a 24-hour fitness center, on-site guest laundry facilities, business center, indoor heated swimming pool, three small meeting rooms for up to 100 people, laundry services and valet parking for 117 cars.
