Thai Airways will launch flights between Bangkok and Vienna. The new schedule flights from Thai capital to Austria’s capital will start from November 16, 2017. The Thai airline will operate four weekly flights on this route, deploying a Boeing B777-200ER aircraft.

“We are very pleased to welcome Thai Airways, a multiple award-winning Star Alliance carrier, to Vienna Airport. We are proud to be able to expand our offering of long-haul fight connections in the winter flight schedule to 83 frequencies per week. This comprises a success of our growth strategy and an important step in the very good cooperation we have with Thai Airways”, says Julian Jäger, Member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG, commenting on the new flight connection.

From Vienna to more than 70 global destinations via Bangkok

A Boeing B777-200ER with a capacity of 292 seats will take off on the Vienna-Bangkok route every Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The flights will leave Bangkok at 1:30 a.m. and land at 7 a.m. local time in Vienna. The return flight from Vienna will depart at 1:30 p.m. and arrive in the Thai capital at 5:20 a.m. local time.

Thai Airways started flying to destinations in Asia in 1960.It already regularly served Vienna in the period 1988 to 1993. The airline employs a staff of about 26,000 people worldwide and transports approx. 22 million passengers each year. At present Thai Airways boasts a fleet of 96 aircraft. The route network not only includes Bangkok but twelves destinations in Thailand and more than 70 destinations across the globe.
