Davao City to host Sports Tourism Forum on July 25th

Sports Tourism Forum will take place at Davao City on July 25th at Grand Men Seng Hotel. The Davao City Sports Development and the City Tourism Offices with Selrahco Management, the conference management outfit together declared the event. Sports tourism stakeholders like sports clubs and association officials, hotels and resorts managers, event organizers, corporate sponsors, schools, travel and tour operators, local sports and tourism officials, golf and country club officers, civic and professional club officials are expected to join the forum and talk on different topics targeted to set up the city as the next sports tourism destination.

 

It’s a one day forum and is predicted to nurture the city’s possibility to become a sports tourism hub in order to make it even more attractive to a fast growing market. Topics to be covered at the forum include developing events as a tourism product, planning, staging and managing sports events with special importance on sponsorship policies and event marketing, estimating present sports facilities and sports tourism products, interaction with local government units (sports and tourism agencies), working with and looking for supports from national sports associations, spirit of volunteerism and some case studies.

Cynthia Carrion, chef de Mission Southeast Asia Games 2017 and former Undersecretary for Sports Tourism of the Department of Tourism, Princess Galura, general manager, Sunrise Events, Charles Lim, founder, Philippines Sports Tourism Awards, Mr Jude Tucuarto, general manager of Fox Networks Group Philippines and other experts from tourism and sports will be in the panel of speakers at the forum.
