Gehard Struger takes up a new role within the AccorHotels
Gehard Struger, who was the General Manager of Swissôtel Hotel The Bosphorus, Istanbul for the last 12 years, has been appointed to a new role within the AccorHotels.
He was also the Regional Vice President Eastern Europe of FRHI Hotels & Resorts which is now a part of AccorHotels.
As of May 2017, Mr. Struger named Regional Vice President Central Europe for Sofitel as well as General Manager of Hotel Sofitel Munich Bayerpost.
Gogo Business Aviation launches SCS Smart Cabin Systems
Gogo Business Aviation unveiled a new suite of smart cabin systems – SCS Elite and SCS Media – which are highly integrated cabin, inflight entertainment (IFE) and voice solutions that can be personalized to fit the specific needs of passengers on board a given flight.
SCS is a suite of smart cabin systems that let users integrate a personal mix of technologies to create a cabin experience that is unique and ideal for them – seamlessly and reliably. Whether that's enabling moving maps so passengers can follow along with the flight, or premiering a single interface that passengers can use to engage with a fully connected cabin – users decide what smart looks like, and SCS does the rest.
Cerberus Capital Management to acquire Bushkill Group
Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. announced that an affiliate of the firm has acquired Bushkill Group, a vacation property ownership company located in Pennsylvania from Resorts Group, Inc. The transaction includes Bushkill's popular Pocono Mountains resort location, The Villas at Tree Tops & Fairway. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Bushkill, which serves a membership base of thousands of families in the Mid-Atlantic region, includes year-round timeshare ownership resorts conveniently located in the Poconos. As part of the transaction, Rick Budd, Senior Operating Executive, Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company LLC, has become President and CEO of Bushkill.
UATP expands its network to include Turkish Airlines as an issuer
UATP announced the addition of Star Alliance member, Turkish Airlines, as their newest Issuer to the corporate travel payment network. In partnership with UATP and Yapi Kredi Bank, Turkish Airlines is now offering the Turkish Airlines Corporate Club Card to their business travelers.
The Turkish Airlines Corporate Club Card is available with charge and prepaid options. Account holders receive exclusive benefits, including payment installment plans, discounts, extra baggage allowances and access to the Istanbul Lounge whenever they use their UATP card to purchase flights on any of the more than 260 airlines in the Network. The cost-effective UATP program is the first corporate loyalty program created for travelers in Turkey.
